Welcome to the Drijber family website. The Drijber family is a small family originating from the province of Drenthe in the northern part of Holland.
Originally a family of farmers in the 17th, 18th and 19th century, in the second half of the 19th century members of the family moved abroad.
At first to the Dutch East Indies, and after the Second World War, when most Dutch people from the Dutch East Indies (then Indonesia) were forced to return to Holland, as most Drijbers did, Lucy Drijber moved to South Africa and her brother Oscar to Canada.
All Drijber ancestors living abroad can be found in the family tree (stamboom), elsewhere on this site.
